Get ready for a significant new hotel opening! Four major partners—Central Japan Railway Company, Shin-Yokohama Station Development, JR Tokai Hotels, and Marriott International—are joining forces. As a direct result, they are transforming Hotel Associa Shin-yokohama into the brand-new Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Yokohama Station. Set to open in August 2026, this will be the very first Courtyard by Marriott in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Unbeatable Access and Prime Location

First of all, this hotel’s location is a huge plus for all travelers. It sits directly above Shin-yokohama Station, a major hub for the Tokaido Shinkansen line. This means, you can reach Tokyo Station in just 19 minutes and Haneda Airport in about 30 minutes via a direct bus. And, getting to downtown Yokohama takes only 20 minutes. Consequently, this prime spot makes it an ideal choice for business and leisure guests, including the growing number of international tourists. The partnership with Marriott International will ensure a high standard of service and comfort.

Major Renovations and Upgrades

On the renovation front, the hotel is undergoing several key renovations to enhance the guest experience. To begin with, they are completely renovating all guest rooms for a fresh, modern feel. In addition, the hotel will also add two new connecting rooms, making it easier for families and groups to stay together. What’s more, a major expansion will make the 10th-floor lobby more spacious. So, this will allow guests with large luggage to check in and out comfortably.

An Upgraded Lounge Experience

And, on the 12th floor, the lounge is also getting a complete redesign. To illustrate, the new space will feature a relaxing sofa area where guests can unwind with a drink. Conversely, the redesign includes a quiet section perfect for meetings or catching up on work.

Beyond the lounge, the hotel will introduce a new dining concept. Well, guests will be able to enjoy a modern restaurant space designed for casual meals and a vibrant social atmosphere.
