Traditional Nihonbashi stores gather in cyber space
Spart Co., Ltd., who manages Nihonbashi Tourist Information Center and Nihonbashi Information Center, will open the online store “Edo Tokyo Ichi” where the long-established Nihonbashi stores gather in this difficult time.
As the first step, they have a selection of popular products from Yamamotoyama, Kokubun, Yagi Nagamoto Main Store, Eitaro Sohon Honten, Senbiki Sohonten, Yamatoya, Ningyocho Shinota Sushi Sohonten, Kojuken. They will also have the long-established stores such as Ibasen, Ozu Washi, Kuroeya, Saruya, Nihonbashikiya, Haibara, Sakurosen, and Yamamoto Nori in due course.
Now many long-established Motohashi stores are refraining from business due to an emergency declaration. In order to restore Japan’s vitality from Nihonbashi, they will sell long-established Nihonbashi products on the online store.
They plan to further enhance the product lineup and introduce items from producers all over Japan carefully selected by Nihonbashi Long-established store.
