Tokyo Banana Transformed Into Convenience Store Sweets!

Popular Japanese souvenir available at JR East stations

If you have visited Japan, you should have seen this famous souvenir called “Tokyo Banana World“. It has sweet banana custard filling wrapped with soft chiffon cake.

The sweets will soon be available in compact snack version at JR East convenience store “NewDays” in Kanto region on June 15.

Tokyo Grape Stone, Ltd who makes and sells Tokyo Banana will launch this convenience store version of Tokyo Banana to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Tokyo Banana.

The compact pouch-sized pack comes with two pieces.

Add some fruits to make it even fancier for your late afternoon coffee break.

By the way, it never occurred to me Tokyo Banana can be frozen. But they recommend to put it in a freezer for 1.5 to 2 hours to make a perfect dessert for summer! Can’t wait to try.
