Consequently, NARITA BEYOND represents a significant step in this regional revitalization effort.

As visitors step inside, NARITA BEYOND offers a vibrant space. Here, prefectures, cities, towns, and local businesses will showcase the tourism spots, cultural highlights, and local products of the airport’s surrounding areas. So, more than just an information center, it’s an immersive environment designed to stimulate your five senses.

A Grand Opening Celebration

To celebrate its grand opening, NARITA BEYOND will host a special event from August 1st to August 8th. Furthermore, this exciting event features six Chiba Prefecture sake breweries offering sake tastings, alongside local product samples and valuable regional tourism information. Moving forward, the NAA Group will continue collaborating with local communities and Narita Airport to create and deliver new attractions. This effort significantly contributes to the revitalization of the surrounding areas and beyond.

• Lanterns: Warm, inviting shapes crafted by artisans with 300 years of history, featuring hand-painted characters and illuminated displays.
• Long Noren (Curtains): Gradients express the gentle sway of the wind and the softness and depth of the space.
• Sunshade Noren: Auspicious patterns like “Egsumi-mon” (eternal mist pattern) and “Seigaiha” (ocean wave pattern), symbolizing eternity, and “Asanoha” (hemp leaf pattern), representing prosperity, adorn these beautiful curtains.

Grand Opening Event: Sake to Chiba ~Find Your Favorite Chiba~

Co-organizers: Narita Airport Utilization Council, Narita International Airport Corporation Cooperation: Chiba Prefecture Sake Brewers Association Dates: August 1 (Friday) – August 8 (Friday), 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Sake tasting: 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM)

Event Highlights: Discover the traditional Japanese sake brewing process, recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in December last year, with a history spanning over 500 years. During this event, six representative sake breweries from Chiba Prefecture will participate daily, offering tastings of various sake brands and introducing Japan’s brewing culture.

Furthermore, local governments from the airport area and other parts of the prefecture will share regional charms through product tastings and character greetings.

Please note, you can purchase some of the participating sake brands at the Chiba Trade Center on the 4th floor of Terminal 1’s Central Building during the event period.
