PokéPark Kanto: A New Pokémon Adventure Blooms at Yomiuri Land in 2026! Pokémon fans, prepare yourselves! A new, permanent Pokémon-themed park, PokéPark KANTO, is opening its doors at Yomiuri Land in Spring 2026. This exciting development comes from a collaboration between Yomiuri Land Co., Ltd., The Yomiuri Shimbun, and The Pokémon Company.
A Dream Collaboration Unveiled
Indeed, this groundbreaking project brings together three major players to create an immersive Pokémon experience. Yomiuri Land Co., Ltd., known for its popular amusement park, is teaming up with The Yomiuri Shimbun, a leading Japanese newspaper, and The Pokémon Company, the creators of the beloved Pokémon franchise. Consequently, they have established “PokéPark KANTO LLC” to operate the new facility. Visitors will access the park through the existing Yomiuri Land grounds, thus ensuring a seamless experience.
Exploring the Kanto Region in Real Life

Nestled within the lush Tama Hills, straddling Inagi City, Tokyo, and Kawasaki City, PokéPark KANTO will cover approximately 2.6 hectares within Yomiuri Land. Crucially, this marks the first permanent facility where you can truly immerse yourself in the world of Pokémon, encountering countless creatures and participating in various events.
The name “KANTO” draws inspiration from the Kanto region, the setting of the very first Pokémon video games, Pokémon Red and Green, released in 1996, and furthermore, references the Kanto region of Japan where Yomiuri Land is located. Mark your calendars: ticket sales are expected to begin around Fall 2025, with more details to follow in due course.
Two Unique Areas: Pokémon Forest and Kayatsuri Town

Specifically, PokéPark KANTO features two distinct zones: Pokémon Forest and Kayatsuri Town, together these areas will be home to over 600 Pokémon! Pokémon Forest offers a unique opportunity to observe Pokémon in their natural habitat, while, in contrast, Kayatsuri Town provides exciting attractions and merchandise.
Immerse Yourself in Pokémon Forest

Pokémon Forest boasts a lush, verdant landscape with varied terrain, including slopes and uneven paths. A walking trail, approximately 500 meters long, winds through this immersive forest, truly bringing to life a “world where Pokémon exist.” Imagine seeing Pokémon running, battling, and playing in groups, showcasing their diverse expressions and behaviors up close. Moreover, you can even capture these magical moments with unique photo opportunities, making every visit memorable.
Discover the Excitement of Kayatsuri Town

Kayatsuri Town welcomes visitors from all over the world with a vibrant marketplace offering a wide array of Pokémon merchandise. Beyond shopping, however, the town features two captivating attractions designed to delight fans. Get ready for an unforgettable experience, as PokéPark Kanto also plans a spectacular parade where Pokémon gather, thus promising an even more magical atmosphere.
