CAT CAFE MOCHA In July a new cafe popped up in Tachikawa. However, it isn’t your usual cafe. No, it’s a cat cafe called Cat Cafe Mocha. With several branches throughout Japan, Cat Cafe Mocha now offers Tachikawa residents a place to come and enjoy these cute furry creatures.
With the popularity of animal cafes. Cat Cafe Mocha provides a serene environment where you can enjoy the company of a variety of cats or your one particular favorite. Each cat has his or her different personality which makes them all unique. Meal time is a great example of their individual personalities. Most all are excited, some aggressive and others nonchalant. In the end, like humans, they get a little tired, maybe lazy and just want to chill.
There are 2 scheduled meal times 10:30am and 7:30pm. No outside food is permitted. Cat snacks and treats are sold for ¥500. So feel free to use a little treat to gain favor.
Many magazines, manga and wifi are available. As well as a drink bar for ¥350 and only charged on weekdays. Creating a nice work atmosphere if you have your laptop!
Located on the 6th floor of the newly renovated FROM Chubu department store. A short 2 minute walk from the Tachikawa Station JR north exit. Business hours are 10:00am to 8:00pm.

Store Requests: No outside food is permitted. Turn off flash of camera when taking photos. Do not chase cats and handle cats gently with care.
