Do you like Tarako? Tokyo Tarako Spaghetti run by Filled Table Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo / President: Kyonori Nakajima), a subsidiary of Arkland Service Holdings Co., Ltd., who operates tonkatsu restaurant “Katsuya“, will launch “Cold soup stock and roasted Tarako cold spaghetti” on June 22 for a limited time. “Tarako” is “Cod fish roe” and used for different kinds of Japanese dishes.

This elevated West-meets-East dish is a cold version of the most popular menu of the restaurant and perfect for summer.

Linguine goes with 7 toppings and Tarako

The 7 types of toppings selected for the spaghetti go with the thin flat noodle Linguine. These are Shiso leaves, tobiko, katsuo-bushi, myoga, onions, seaweed, and sesame.

When you eat, the rich aroma and texture spread in the mouth.

As to their original pasta noodle, they mix Hokkaido flour with Tapioca flower that gives a little bit of “mochi” kind of texture. It’s just right !

How to eat

Eat as it is, or pour the soup stock over a cold soup spaghetti, and mix it with homemade mentaiko soy sauce and Yuzu pepper on the table. There are many different ways to enjoy the pasta.

The cream boasts the richness and aroma of fermented butter and pure fresh cream. The mentaiko (spicy cod roe) is house-made and marinated in their original sauce for 48 hours! I personally really liked this pasta.

Minami Ikebukuro location: Tsukimi Ikura no Tarako Spaghetti ¥1,690 (¥1,859 including tax)
